An image leaked online by Weibo user Fotoball shows the upcoming Meizu 7 Pro with what appears to be a small secondary E-ink display at the back, just south of the camera module.
Secondary E-ink displays on a phone isn’t a new thing. The YotaPhone was the first smartphone that featured an E-ink display, but unlike the Meizu 7 Pro, the YotaPhone’s was much larger, occupying almost the whole back of the phone. This allowed users to use it for reading e-books. The Meizu 7 Pro’s E-ink display is smaller and would most likely be used for showing important notifications and a few shortcuts with the phone on its belly. The Meizu 7 Pro is expected to be launched with Mediatek Helio X30 on board along with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM.
