Instagram is testing a new feature that will allow users to limit post audience

Instagram is said to be testing a new feature that will allow users to share their posts to a limited number of individuals whom they deemed worthy of seeing what they just had for lunch. It’s comparable to Facebook’s “Privacy” feature.

Aptly named “Favorites”, the new feature will give you more control of who your post’s audience will be by adding individuals to your Favorites list.

When creating a post, the user will see an added option to share it to their Favorites. Only those in the Favorites list will be able to see the new post. The user will also get a new “Favorites” tab that contains accumulated private posts shared to their Favorites.

Users won’t be notified if he or she has been added or removed from someone’s list. Once added, a user will be seeing Instagram posts with a green badge on it, signifying membership to someone’s Favorites list. An individual who was removed from the list will lose access to the private posts.
